Nicole Behan – Co-Artistic Director

Nicole is a Theatre Director and Creative Facilitator with a passion for for storytelling, new writing and creating theatre experiences that stretch beyond the traditional stage. As a founding member of Paperwork Theatre, Nicole has directed all of their productions and has helped developed the companies collaborative theatre making
practice when working with artists. From 2015-2016 Paperwork Theatre were Supported Artist’s with Octagon
Theatre in Bolton where the company received mentoring from Associate Producer
Deborah Dickinson.

Away from Paperwork, Nicole is currently working as YEP Associate Director with Young Everyman Playhouse, she recently co-directed Until They Kick Us Out for For With By Festival of European Youth Theatre at Birmingham REP.
In 2018 she was part of Young Vic Springboard, a development programme for emerging theatre directors. As a fan of new writing, she has directed Come Closer: Memories of Partition for Manchester’s Royal Exchange in 2017, Qualified by Lee Thompson and Northern Flight by Pad Hughes as a FLUX Festival Commission.

Over the past 6 years Nicole has delivered artistic projects across the
Northwest for Liverpool Everyman and Playhouse, Octagon Theatre Bolton,
Storyhouse Chester, 20 Stories High, Burnley Youth Theatre, Manchester
Metropolitan University. She has worked as a facilitator for Theatre in Education
companies Anchor and Altru Drama.

Hayley Greggs – Co-Artistic Director

Hayley Greggs is Co-Artistic Director of Paperwork Theatre and a passionate theatre maker and writer. She As a founding member of Paperwork Theatre, she has co-created all of the company’s productions and has helped develop the company’s collaborative theatre
making practice when working with artists.
As Supported Artists at Bolton Octagon Theatre 2016, Hayley received a programme of mentoring from Associate Producer, Deborah Dickinson to develop her skills, knowledge and experience as a theatre maker and company director.
Alongside her theatre maker credits, Hayley is a freelance dramaturg and
practitioner who has worked with playwrights from the Everyman & Playhouse
Theatre, The Royal Exchange Theatre, Young Dada, Edge Hill University and
The Windows Project. In addition, she has worked with Open Culture and The
Independents Biennial to deliver arts and cultural events in the Liverpool City
Prior to this, she was employed as the New Works Coordinator at the Liverpool
Everyman & Playhouse Theatre where she gained over five years’ experience
of coordinating artists development initiatives and nurturing theatre making
talent through practical workshops, New Writing events and dramaturgy.

Siofra joined Paperwork as Creative Producer after working with the company for several years (we just couldn’t let her go).

Siofra has worked with Paperwork’s Artistic team in several roles since their launch, supporting all of their productions to date. In 2018, she joined the core Artistic team as Creative producer to develop new work and steer the strategic planning of the company. Alongside working with Paperwork Theatre, Siofra works as Assistant Producer and Administrator for Liverpool based 20 Stories High, supporting national, regional and local projects across the company.
A graduate of the Liverpool Everyman and Playhouse Young Producers programme, Siofra has worked across various different companies and projects in a producer capacity, such as the Unity Theatre, Liverpool Biennial and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. She has also worked across the country in a Stage Management capacity, working for companies such as Culture Liverpool, Open Culture and LeftCoast SpareParts Festival.
