INVEST IN YOURSELF: RISE UP
RISE UP is Paperwork Theatre’s flagship community arts campaign for women, highly regarded as an inclusive, vibrant, arts and skills development offer in the North West.
We deliver courses, projects and productions which empower women in Liverpool & Knowsley to take centre stage, with opportunities to share stories, that are vibrant, inspirational and entertaining.
Across a term of weekly sessions you will:
- Meet new friends and collaborators, developing confidence whilst building a network of peers
- Work as part of an ensemble to develop your performance and acting skills.
- Work with a professional Director and team of Creatives to create and rehearse a devised performance
- Perform at Shakespeare North Playhouse for a live audience in the Sir Ken Dodd Performance Garden on Friday 31st July.
It’s been transformative. I’ve made amazing friends and networks and have learnt and grown so much. I’ve got back my love for performing and can’t wait to continue this creative journey!

I’ve loved every minute. It’s been amazing and transformative to learn so much with this incredible group. It’s given me the drive to get back to the creative arts and the belief in myself that I can do it.
