After 10 years, Co Artistic Director Hayley is moving on to pastures new.
Throughout the past ten years, Hayley has been instrumental in developing and delivering the artistic vision of Paperwork Theatre. She has done so with great talent, determination, and a wide-ranging vision in an artistic landscape that is ever-changing. Her investment in bold storytelling and artistic engagement for people from all walks of life has created a genuine community of artists, participants and audiences across the region and has contributed significantly to the theatre ecology in Liverpool.
We have an ambitious journey ahead of us which involves new productions, community projects and a range of artist development opportunities. We are excited for what comes next for Paperwork, all of which has grown from the solid foundation Hayley has helped to build over the past decade.
Paperwork, Artistic Director Nicole Behan, our staff team and board would like to thank Hayley for everything she has done and wish her every success in her next adventure.

A message from Hayley…
“Wow, what a decade! I am so proud of everything that Paperwork has achieved – we started by staging micro-plays in red phone boxes and have grown to create city-wide, interactive shows like Lovestruck.
I grew up watching shows at the Everyman and dreaming that one day we might do that too, so producing Deep Blue for the that stage has got to be a highlight!
I recognise that all of this would not have been possible without the genius talent of the hundreds of freelancers who have worked with us – from the bottom of my heart, thank you!
Thanks to the project partners and funders who’ve made our projects a reality. To the family and friends who have lent an ear and usually a few extra pair of hands when we needed them – a very big thank you! To those who came along to watch our work and took part in our drama groups, to those who donated to our teacup commissions and joined us for a play date – thank you! You are all part of the Paperwork story.
Until our paths cross again…
Much love, H xx
